A harvest which was immediately found to be good thanks to the temperate spring that provided plant protection. In May, with the sudden drop in temperatures, the plant phenological process slowed down, creating thinner and therefore healthier clusters.
Precise vinification starting from delicate destemming and crushing, followed by the particularly long fermentation of the must in small steel vats. After devatting, the wine was kept always for two years in steel vats, with continuous monitoring and monthly racking, then bottled and marketed at least one year after bottling. Bright luminous ruby colour; its bouquet boasts the beautiful density and juiciness of the fruit, with sharp floral hints of violet and Mediterranean scrubland. A very hot July and a cool August with moderate precipitation ensured a very interesting aroma, with fresh aromas of wild berries, currants, wild strawberries, wild rose and violet. It has a dry, soft, fresh and well-balanced taste with solid tannins, long and flavourful on the palate, with the typical richness of the Setteponti area.
